How does the game work?

You pick who you think is going to win each matchup of the season. You earn points for each correct pick. See our Official Rules page for a detailed explanation of the gameplay.

When is the deadline to enter my picks?

You can make and/or change your picks for each matchup up to 15 minutes before the matchup is scheduled to start. The pick deadline for each matchup is clearly marked on the My Picks page.

What if I don't pick a winner of a matchup?

If you don't pick the winner of a matchup, a winner will be picked automatically for you based on which team has been picked most by other players. However, you cannot win a weekly prize unless you make your own picks for that week and you cannot win an overall prize for the season unless you pick at least 11 weeks (just over half) on your own.

If the season has already started, can I still play?

Yes. Once you sign up, your picks going forward will be counted toward your score. We will also throw out your 4 worst weeks so your best 17 weeks count toward your overall score. If you start before week 5, you will not be behind other players as the system will automatically throw out the first 4 weeks of picks that you did not make. If you start after week 5 you'll be behind the others for the overall prize (if offered), but you could still win weekly prizes (if offered) for individual weeks.

What is a VIP Pick?

The site you are playing on may choose to feature VIP Picks so that you can compare your picks to and try to beat the "experts". You do not have to choose a VIP Pick when making your own picks; they are just featured so you can compare your picks try to earn a higher score than the VIP Picks.

How does the scoring work?

The point value for each game is clearly marked. We will throw out your worst 4 weeks and count your best 17 weeks towards your overall score.

How can I form a private group?

You can form your own private group by visiting the Create a Private Group page. To create a private group, you simply create a group name, group password and then input the email addresses of all of your friends that you would like to invite to the private group.

How can I join a private group?

You can form your own private group by visiting the Join a Private Group page. To join a private group, simply enter the group name and group password and then click the “Join Group” button.

How can I submit a video or photo?

Step 1: Pick a category, Fill in the Title (required), Keywords and Body. The keywords are words that people might use to find your submission, and the body is a description of the scenario in the photo or video.
Step 2: If you are submitting a video, click on "Select Your Video." Browse for it and attach it in the popup window. Do not close the popup window. It will close automatically. If you are submitting a photo, click on the "Browse" button in the image section. Find a picture stored on your computer and open it. Fill in the Image Caption field with description of the photo.
Step 3: Remember to read the Terms of Use. Click submit.
